Transition Program
At St Brendan’s, we value the vital role families play as first educators and are committed to building strong, respectful partnerships between home and school. This begins with our enrolment interviews, where we have the opportunity to meet you and your child and begin forming relationships that are nurtured throughout your time at St Brendan’s.
To support a smooth start to school, St Brendan’s offers four Prep transition mornings. These sessions focus on literacy, numeracy, and social learning, while helping children become familiar with the school environment, educators, and daily routines. Attendance at all sessions is strongly encouraged to support confidence, connection, and readiness. Parent workshops are also offered during this time to support families and strengthen our home–school partnership.
As students approach the end of their primary years, we also provide structured secondary school transition support. This includes guidance, communication with secondary schools, and opportunities for students to develop independence, resilience, and confidence as they prepare for the next stage of their learning journey.
